Lilliput - Senior Tour

3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th class school tour report by Krishaan On the 6th of June last we travelled to Lilliput in Mullingar. I was excited while I was on the bus. When we got there we were greeted by some instructors. We soon got to the first activity, rock climbing. We were strapped onto bungee ropes and we had to climb a rock wall. We went bog hopping after. This was my favourite activity of the tour. We went through mud, small tunnels and water and at the end we jumped into the water. Nearly everyone was covered top to bottom with mud! Lough Key - Forest Park

1st & 2nd Class visited Lough Key Forest Park in Boyle. It was a very wet windy day but we had an absolutely fantastic day out! We walked along the Sky Walk as high up as the tree tops. We climbed 665 steps up the Moylurg Tower to see the amazing views of Lough Key down below. We were very sad to learn that the house, which used to be five stories high burned down and only the ruin survives. We saw the tunnels where the supplies were delivered to the mansion in olden times and how the servants had to use special tunnels so nobody would see them entering and leaving the house. There's an amazing play area in Lough Key and we had a fabulous time there too! #20182019SchoolYear
