The pupils of fourth, fifth and sixth class recently took part in the Bank of Ireland Biz- World Workshop initiative for primary schools.
The children became Junior Entrepreneurs for the day and presented their business ideas to the Dragons, Meena Doherty, manager of Bank of Ireland Roscommon and Sheila Knox, manager of Bank of Ireland in Longford.
The children were divided into teams and came up with some brilliant business ideas such as:
APS - Ankle Protection Socks for sporting activities.
Switchy Shoes - Boots/shoes that convert from training shoes to ordinary footwear.
ABH - AED Box Help - A device to show how a defibrillator should be used
Trans App - A translator app for devices
Safer Cycling - High visibility tape for bicycles.
The winning idea was ProLeg - a prosthetic leg for a horse.
The winning team got through to the Regional Finals in GMIT, Galway where they won €100 voucher for the school.
