Nature Walk in Local Woodlands

Pupils in 3rd & 4th enjoyed an informative nature walk in our local woodlands in Lanesborough with Heritage Expert, Shailagh from the Heritage Council.

Shailagh pointed out to us the different trees and plants and explained the importance nature and wildlife to our environment. We collected leaves and acorns and did art work with them when we returned to the classroom. We also listened to the various sounds from the birds in the woodlands and Shailagh told us which birds the sounds came from. We enjoy the outdoors very much.
