Swimming Classes Resume in September

What Every Parent Needs to Know

Swimming lessons will be offered to pupils from first to sixth class starting in September.

Lessons are at a very affordable price, transport is very generously subsidised by Ballyleague N.S.  Parents' Association.

Lessons continue for seven weeks. At the end of the course every child has the opportunity to move on to the next level if they pass their assessment.

HOW CAN YOU HELP YOUR CHILD TO GET THE BEST OUT OF SWIMMING LESSONS?

Practise. Bring your child to the pool during the holidays.

Encourage your child to get used  to being in the water. If nervous, gently play with your child so your child gradually gets used to the water and doesn’t mind water on his or her face. Get into the pool with your child.

Practise in between lessons so your child can show you what he /she has learned.

If your child has not been in the pool since last Autumn, find time to practise during the Summer, at least once every week.

Check out what time the public swim hours are on at. Off-Peak Hours are cheaper.
