We were invited to Lanesborough Library, for Hallowe'en themed activities with story teller Chris. Chris is a great story teller. Some of us dressed up as the characters in the story. We helped Chris with her magic hat! We travelled over to Lanesboro in a mini-bus. It was exciting.
We did an experiment. We used the following materials: lemon juice, bread soda, hand-soap.

Hi Everyone! We just built a wormery in our school. American Environmentalist, Craig, came to our school last Friday.
We prepared for the project by collecting up bags and bags of leaves from deciduous trees, (trees which lose their leaves in Autumn). We also collected up cardboard boxes and loads of shredded paper....
We enjoyed a really wonderful visit of Storyteller, Chris Thompson. We created our own stories, we 'imagined up' all kinds of spiders out of our imaginations.... Pink ones, spotted ones, red hearted stripey legged, winged, evil, magical spiders with amazing POWERS! We co-authored our own stories.
Heritage Expert Martina Butler visited our school recently as part of the Heritage in Schools Scheme. We are working towards our 8th Green Flag "Global Citizenship Marine Environments" and the workshop provided an excellent starting point. All pupils enjoyed the lessons and learned lots about marine life!
