We did an experiment. We used the following materials: lemon juice, bread soda, hand-soap.

We filled a tea-spoon with lemon juice.We added a tea-spoon of bread soda into a glass.  When the lemon,  which is an acid, mixed with the soda, it caused a mighty fizz! We added in hand- soap and made lovely lemon scented  soap b...

Hi Everyone! We just built a wormery in our school. American Environmentalist, Craig, came to our school last Friday. 

We prepared for the project by collecting up bags and bags of leaves from deciduous trees, (trees which lose their leaves in Autumn). We also collected up cardboard boxes and loads of shredded paper....

We enjoyed a really wonderful visit of Storyteller, Chris Thompson. We created our own stories, we 'imagined up' all kinds of spiders out of our imaginations.... Pink ones, spotted ones, red hearted stripey legged, winged, evil, magical spiders with amazing POWERS!  We co-authored our own stories.

Pupils in Ballyleague N.S. participated in GOAL Jersey Day on Friday 12th October.  Over 150euro was raised on the day - thanks to all for donating to this great charity.

Heritage Expert Martina Butler visited our school recently as part of the Heritage in Schools Scheme.  We are working towards our 8th Green Flag "Global Citizenship Marine Environments" and the workshop provided an excellent starting point.  All pupils enjoyed the lessons and learned lots about marine life!
